Operation Flashpoint 2: Dragon Rising Review Empty

Operation Flashpoint 2: Dragon Rising is a Tactical Army Simulator Game,
I found OF2 to be a hugely challenging game, easily earning its place as one of the hardest games ive played while playing it on its hardest difficulty.
You play as a US Army Fire Team Leader in both squads you play in, the story pushes you deep into a conflict in Skira, a huge island which takes approx 9 Hours to walk from one side to the other, where Russia and China are fighting for control of the oil rich country.
The story doesnt come much into play in OF2, there are only 2 cut scenes throughout the whole game except for the beginning of each mission where you are frozen waiting to begin the mission as you are briefed, the story also for some reason leaves the Russians out of thier own conflict and replaces them with the US, you feel like it is a US vs China war seeing as not once in the entire game do you see one Russian Soldier.
The gameplay is OF2's biggest accomplishment, the amazing reality of the gameplay in this game is amazing from the wind and distace ratio in shooting to the fact that you can die with one shot, which may sound like a bad thing for some people and thats completely exceptable seeing as this is not a game for everyone, you need heavy tactics, the ability to think fast and be able to lead other soldiers to make it through a mission in one piece.
OF2 does have its let downs and they are quite obvious, OF2 is not the best looking game on the PS3 and its online multiplayer does have its flaws but this in no way makes the game less fun but it does get annoying seeing the same terrain textures the whole way throughout the game, but seeing a bullet go through a chinese soldiers head then seeing half of his head blown off when you examine his body is a sight you have to see.
To sum things up, Operation Flashpoint 2: Dragon Rising is the most stratagic and difficult first person shooter on the PS3, it does have its flaws but makes up with it by being extremely realistic and extremely fun, it is a must have for the lovers of realism and sheer difficulty as you wont find a game on the market quite like it for the PS3.
